Swedish climate and energy innovations set their sights on New York
The Swedish Energy Agency’s Skyline accelerator programme for sustainable buildings in New York is expanding its offering and joining forces with 7 new companies that want to establish themselves in the American market.
Previously focused solely on Proptech, the programme has now been broadened to include companies with products and solutions for resource and energy efficiency throughout the entire building. The aim is both to better meet market needs in New York and to showcase the breadth of Swedish innovations.
– We are very pleased with the interest in Skyline and look forward to embarking on this journey with the seven selected companies that want to explore opportunities to establish themselves in the American market. New York’s progressive climate agenda and the need to convert the state’s more than 6 million buildings opens interesting opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange, says Sofie Fjellgren, Business Developer for International Markets at the Swedish Energy Agency.
To provide Swedish companies with even better opportunities, the Swedish Energy Agency has entered a partnership with Build Edison, a New York-based strategy consultant with extensive experience in supporting clean and sustaintech companies in their growth journey.
Participating companies in 2024
A total of 7 companies have been accepted into the new Skyline programme. Participation in the programme is free of charge for the companies. All that is required of them is commitment and time to work on their launch on the American market.
